The Flavours of Tomorrow Festival, Singapore’s first alternative food festival, will be making its triumphant return from 25 - 27 April, 10 am to 7 pm daily. The festival will shine a spotlight on the vibrant world of alternative cuisine, with brands and businesses taking the stage to unveil their unique culinary inventions in pursuit of Singapore's ambitious 30 by 30 food sustainability goal. To celebrate these unique innovations, CapitaLand’s stunning new development, Geneo at Singapore Science Park, will be transformed into a playground for culinary visionaries and eco-conscious brands.
Key highlights of the second edition of the Flavours of Tomorrow Festival include:
In 2024, the Flavours of Tomorrow Festival drew crowds of over 4,000, celebrating the latest in food innovation with great enthusiasm and energy.
The Flavours of Tomorrow Festival is a collaborative effort between CapitaLand’s Singapore Science Park, Innovate 360 and BLOCK71, an initiative by NUS Enterprise.
“As the master developer and operator of Singapore Science Park, we are pleased to bring back the Flavours of Tomorrow Festival to showcase our agri-food tech partners and life sciences ecosystem. With more than 4,000 unique visitors last year, we’re confident that this year’s festival will continue to provide foodtech startups and culinary innovators with the opportunity to connect with fellow industry peers and introduce their innovations to the public through interactive demos, food booths and a sustainable retail market. The festival is part of our curated placemaking programme to energise workspaces, build communities, and make Singapore Science Park a vibrant destination for work, live, and play,” said Mr Chew Peet Mun, Managing Director of Investment and Development, CapitaLand Development (Singapore).

The Flavours of Tomorrow Festival perfectly aligns with the “30 by 30” initiative by showcasing the advancements that are reshaping Singapore’s food scene while keeping sustainability at the forefront. As Singapore gravitates towards a more sustainable and secure food landscape, Flavours of Tomorrow aims to be the platform that shows Singaporeans how to integrate alternative ingredients into everyday culinary experiences. The festival offers engaging opportunities for Singaporeans to explore how plant-based proteins and other innovative food technologies can effectively substitute traditional staples, all while being resource-efficient and providing high nutritional value.
Through live cooking demonstrations presenting unique plant-based dishes, alongside interactive discussions showcasing cutting-edge food technology, attendees will be empowered to confidently embrace alternative ingredients. Attendees can enjoy a range of offerings where familiar dishes are presented with a twist using unfamiliar alternative ingredients, from plant-based braised beef rice and chicken shawarma to cacao-free chocolates and protein-rich insect snacks.
“By enhancing the accessibility and appeal of alternative food choices, we hope that the Flavours of Tomorrow will transform perception by demonstrating that sustainable options can be both practical and delectable. While there is a growing awareness of the alternative food scene in Singapore, there is also a tremendous opportunity to showcase the innovative varieties of alternative food options that have been developed locally. We’re seeing more foodtech businesses investing their resources into developing alternative food options that would suit Singaporeans, and we aim to be that bridge connecting these businesses with the local community. Our goal is for Singaporeans to make alternative food ingredients as a natural choice,” commented Sean Mak, Chief Operating Officer of Innovate 360.

At the festival, they will facilitate conversations featuring their startup founders through the Industry Spotlight programme on 25 Apr, as well as engage industry leaders and attendees on pressing challenges and opportunities in the sector.
