Through a series of curated events, Innovation Made Real provides an invaluable platform for innovators to connect and collaborate, reinforcing Singapore Science Park's role as a global leader in innovation.

Sustainable Innovation Asia 2024: Showcasing Sustainable Technology Solutions

Singapore Science Park's participation at the Sustainable Innovation Asia 2024 held on 8 May 2024 exemplifies this commitment. This annual flagship event by the Singapore Deep-Tech Alliance (SDTA), a tenant and partner in Singapore Science Park, showcased the latest advancements from SDTA's portfolio ventures tackling sustainability challenges through deep-tech innovation.  The startups presented their innovative solutions in sustainable technology, offering a glimpse into the future of this vital sector.  Over 280 participants, including industry leaders and investors, gained valuable insights into the future of sustainable technologies.

Sustainable Innovation Asia 2024 by SDTA offered a key networking platform for senior executives, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry decision-makers.

Singapore BioMedTech Nexus: Collaboration Breeds Success

The Singapore BioMedTech Nexus event on 21 May 2024, co-organised by SGInnovate and Johnson & Johnson Innovation JLABS Singapore, further highlighted the Singapore Science Park's role in fostering collaboration.  The event featured the JLABS QuickFire Challenge winners, launched last year in collaboration between JLABS Singapore and the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), and the launch of the Singapore Navigator by JLABS Sngapore, a one-stop resource for innovative biotech, medtech, and digital health solutions.

A panel discussion on "Uniting Technology, Tools & Talent for Global Impact" brought together industry leaders to discuss opportunities and challenges in the deep tech and life sciences sectors.  Moderated by Vanessa Ding (Deputy Director Talent - SGInnovate), the esteemed panelists included Bruno Occhipinti (CEO - Qritive), Pauline Erica Tay (Director - National Health Innovation Centre (NHIC), Loong Wang (CEO - QDX) and Alessandro Falcone, MD (Regional Head - JLABS). 

Winners of the JLABS Singapore QuickFire Challenge - Atheon Bio, Mobio Interactive, Mobius Scientific, and Tendonplus Medical.

Ms. Teh Huay Hoon of CapitaLand Development Singapore introduced Geneo at Singapore Science Park (SSP) to the community.

Launch of the Singapore Navigator by JLABS Singapore, a one-stop-shop public database that showcases innovative solutions in biotech, medtech, and digital technologies across Singapore.

Industry leaders delved into opportunities and challenges in deep tech and life sciences during the panel discussion on 'Uniting Technology, Tools & Talent for Global Impact,' moderated by Vanessa Ding, Deputy Director Talent at SGInnovate.

The networking session fostered new connections and collaborations within the ecosystem.

InnovFest: Cultivating Talent and Innovation for Asia's Future

In support of InnovFest, NUS Enterprise’s flagship tech innovation conference, which took place from 29-31 May 2024, Singapore Science Park hosted a pre-event lab tour and led a panel discussion on "Harnessing AI in Life Sciences."

The pre-event lab tour on 28 May 2024 provided delegates with a behind-the-scenes look at the cutting-edge innovations at Singapore Science Park and NUS Enterprise innovation labs, offering a firsthand view of the future of technology and collaboration.

During the tour, participants were introduced to Geneo, a new hub for life sciences and deep tech communities in Singapore Science Park and met with representatives from JLABS Singapore and Shopee. The delegates subsequently toured NUS Enterprise labs located in Singapore Science Park and LaunchPad @ one-north. 

Welcome remarks by Professor Chee Yeow Meng, Vice President (Innovation and Enterprise) at the National University of Singapore.

Alessandro Falcone, Regional Head of JLABS Singapore, Johnson & Johnson introduced their work in accelerating healthcare innovations in Singapore.

Arthur Tang, Director, Regional BI and Planning at Shopee, shared insights into how Shopee is enhancing the e-commerce experience in Southeast Asia.

The panel discussion on 31 May 2024 at InnovFest, held at Singapore Expo, focused on the future of healthcare. Moderated by Marcus Lim of CapitaLand Development Singapore, the panel featured prominent experts from the life sciences and healthcare domains, including Iris Tan from SingHealth, Dr. Ang Siang Yun from Guardant Health, Cheryl Chong from Merck, and Dr. Buzz Palmer from MedTech Actuator. They explored the transformative potential of AI in life sciences, discussing its impact on drug discovery, diagnostic accuracy, and patient care, while also addressing the challenges and future implications of integrating AI in this field.
